    Need help getting TPS 2202740

I need a TPS for my 02 Virage TXi and I've tried bikebandit.com and a local dealer but both don't have it in stock and it's on back ordered. The earliest I can get it is August 30, 2010. Any suggestions leading to get a TPS sooner would be appreciated.

Arrow Alternate sources for TPS 2202740

I have heard that these TPS are currently backordered from Polaris.

Another member found a dealer with a couple in stock a few weeks ago. You may need to do some calling around to find one.

The Polaris TPS are made by Honeywell, but I don't have a Honeywell cross reference number for it. It may well be a custom part just made for Polaris.

part is only available through Polaris...made just for them...Oh and the back order date that Polaris gets them is now 10/31/10 and that has changed a few times...started out at 6/31 then 7/31 then 8/31 and now 10/31 so I would not count on them soon...

Sounds like Honeywell needs to re-gear to produce these. They might have discarded the production jigs or whatnot after the last order from Polaris (which could have been several years ago).

There may be a Honeywell part that is electrically close enough to be mechanically and electrically adapted. Perhaps there is a business opportunity there for someone...

What does BRP use on their fuel injected engines?

Something like the Honeywell RPN Series Rotary Position Sensors

    RPN Product sheet

90 degree, single 4.75 volt output, 5 VDC supply version
    RPNS090AC1A21X

Not sure if the AMP Superseal 282087-1 connector is a direct match to the existing TPS harness connector - might need an adapter.

Do you happen to know which member or which dealer had them? I'm in serious need of one.

    Thanks!

    Jeff

You will have to do some searching. I don't recall what thread that was.

Try Jay at Sharps Marine. Info is in the links below
