Looking at buying an 08 RXP-X With 70 hours

Hi Guys, Looking at buying an 08 RXP-X with 70 hours. Im wondering if I should walk away from this because of the higher than usual hours. What do I need to look for besides normal wear items like Wear rings etc? I know that 2008 was the year where Seadoo started to build their Superchargers stronger but do the 2008 Superchargers need rebuilds every 100hrs just like the 04-07 Seadoo Superchargers?

    Thanks,

even the current ones need rebuilds i believe or you can lose your warranty. the '08s still had the ceramic (?) vs. steel washers put into the '09 and later boats. Cost between $200-400 depending on what needs to be replaced due to wear.

Dealer I spoke to said they do annual service +/- 400 boats and usually only ones that have problems are those driven by people 25 and younger who like to jump wakes and who don't let off throttle when they do that. It's very hard on the s/c clutch etc. when the prop goes in/out of the water under full throttle. How old is the guy/gal selling it?

do a search on pump tunnel failures. I walked away from a real deal on one of these because of it. seadoo dosent make good and a few of the boats sank because of it. you will be told that the p's are better than the t's but i saw both with problems

The guy is asking $8900 With Trailer. There is also another one near LA for $8000 with trailer with 27hrs, But then that means shipping it for probally well over $1000 and not being able to view it or test drive it. Are you guys sure they started making the superchargers with metal washers in 2009? I thought it was 2008? I have 2 2006 RXP and GTX LTD that I installed the metal washers myself but both SC bearings went within a month of Each other (70hrs RXP, 102 Hrs GTX). Did they make the bearings any better on the 2008 and up?

I have an '08 RXP-X with 72 hours and it runs like a cat on fire. And it has production S.S. washers. I think you can beat the seller over the head on the price though.

Metal washers came out in 08...price seems kind of high though.
