I should be riding, but I have ridden those lakes, it sucks unless your main goal for hte day is to hang out and drink and worry about cops.

    How about NYC?

im down to ride, but i was hoping to ride up here in the ct river.

There is a public "free" launch about a min away from where steve, pete, and john where beached in hartford that day.

Saturday actually looks like the pic of the weekend, but I'll be happy to ride both days! I'm thinking one of those days this weekend should be a trip - maybe Pavillion? Port Jeff?? I like to ride with a destination....

A fun but LONG ride that I try to do once a year is from Newburgh NY on the Hudson river to the locks at Troy. It really is an all day affair that necessitates leaving the Newburgh ramp early morning to be able to enjoy ourselves and not turn it into a dash home before dark.

As for Sat, I've never been to Port Jefferson, the Pavilion, or those places so if you guys are going, I would love to join you.

Or if you're thinking of a NYC ride, an alternative ramp to Yonkers is George's Island in Buchanan, or the Newburgh ramp. The downside to George's Island is a $25 ramp fee for non-residents. However the distance to NYC is longer making it perfect for a leisurely days outing. As for the Newburgh ramp, the fee, as of last year was $8 bucks. However distance wise may means that an early start is an imperative and IF the weather makes water conditions choppy, it may also mean a sever beating; although some may enjoy that.

I'm down for whatever... That would make it 7 days of riding in the last 8 days
