Red Exhause pipe
2000 polaris pro 1200
Well as the story goes my PTO cylinder needs to be replaced.
to do so the exhaust pipe needs to be removed well its stuck on there..
one bolt broke off on the top of the pipe of course bolt in rear and on the bracket in the back are off and the pipe will not budge at all not even pivot a little...
so now im stuck.
what to do it is driving me crazy do i remove the motor with the pipe on it and send it off to be rebuilt prob for 2k + dollars =/ or does anyone have any tricks on getting this pipe off or run into this before?

beat on it with a 2 lb sledge, a peice of wood inbetween of course.. and spray some penetrating lube in all the bolt holes.. let it sit if necessary. 2 lb sledge works good or rubber mallet sometimes, you'll get it, if that doesnt work - then you need a bigger hammer.

I would double check everything and be certain every bolt on every bracket is out. 2lb sledge and block of wood should have done it. Sometimes there's one overlooked bolt hidind somewhere.

4 on the top from what i can see and 2 on the bottom all out except that one bolt is broken off into the pipe one of the top bolts on the pipe. the bolt never turned but the head broke off. but shouldnt the pipe at least pivot?

any specific tools you recommend i go buy for this lol i am trying to do anything to not spend 1200 on a rebuilt engine.
with the engine in the ski it is almost impossible to get a good swing on a chisel and the pipe =/
im thinking crowbar it until the bar breaks....

You may have to drill that seized bolt out.The pipe has to lift staight up, to take it out. If you mess up the pipe getting it out, I have an extra red pipe I will give you.
