    problems with 96 slx and 97 sl1050

    i have just bought a 96 slx and a 97 sl1050 the slx started fine ran good but not as good as previous owner said (supposed to out run the 1050?) has the blue fuji? think it 780 but not sure when it gets to half tank of fuel it will die i let it set then start again it run little bit then die again not sure what going on also the mfd not working checked clear hose it ran to fin under shaft checked fuses in box and they were both good the 1050 started but not well i changed the plugs and it ran great for 4 hours then died and wouldnt start plugs were fouled had some hesitation during that 4hrs but ran top speed of 54mph any information is greatly appreciated new to the pwc world

    Sounds like you need to do some maintenance on both those machines

    I just bought a Polaris PWC - what should I do?

    i really dont think your 96 slx will out run the sl1050.. now if it was a 97 slx pro 785 then i can see that.
