jet pump stuck at drive shaft

I am trying to remove my jet pump after finding that my wear ring has lodged behind the impeller causing my engine to not turn over. I cant seem to get the drive shaft to exit the inside of the ski. The silicone seal outside the ski, but inside it is stuck. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

at the metal flange infront of the accordion boot pull it to the rear of the ski. that will expose a rubber o ring. roll that forward. remove the pump and then take the driveshaft out the rear....is this a salt water ski by chance?

I believe it was a saltwater ski for a portion of its life before I bought it. Looking at that picture you mean the metal flange in the middle should push to the left towards the rear of the ski? Should the metal move, or the boot move?

yes push the metal sleeve towards the back (left) and there will be a metal C clip (not a rubber o-ring). Then you snap the clip off and it will slide out.

The rubber boot will compress and the carbon seal +the metal sleeve. You might have to tap it with a hammer to loosen it up.
