Previous owner used Valvoline Marine oil.. is this bad?

I just found half a container of Valvoline Marine 2-cycle oil in the trailer.. i asked the previous owner and that is what he has been using in the ski (99 gp1200).. Should i drain the rest of the oil and put yamalube or something else in? or is it ok to go on the valvoline for now ?

I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as your running the right ratio. For the gp1200 motor I run 40:1 to be on the safe side. It does sound like you might have oil injection still. I would ditch that as quick as you can and go premix!
