I just purchased a 1996 Yamaha Wave Venture 1100. I am doing my best to learn about it so please forgive my ignorance. This ski is a 2 stroke engine, right? So I should be using the Yamalube - Two Stroke 2M oil, right? When I go to fill it, just top off the oil as the ski mixes it with the gas when running?
Thanks for your help. I just don't want to put all this time and money in this and do something incredibly stupid.

Yes you have a 2 stroke engine and Yamalube is fine. Make sure your oil tank is always FULL. Loss of oil = fried engine. It is reccomended that you convert to premix which is mixing of gas and oil together manually. This is safer and ensures that your engine will not seize due to oil pump failure. Search 'Premix' and you will find many threads on this topic.
