05 RXP Question
I got an 05 RXP with a dropped valve. I repaired the engine and it is working great except for one issue. It tops out at 7600 RPM. Out of the hole it pulls like an RXP should.
Any suggestions on what it might be?
Two things came to mind for me.
1. The supercharger is slipping.
2. It has the wrong ECU.
Would a GTX ecu make it top out at 7600?

When I got it the trim function was turned off. That is what made me think this was it.

Make sure you have a "A" side ECU harness with the resistors for the Knock sensor. Some 05's need the pigeyback harness. What is the date of the harness? this info can be found near the water box plug.

I go for wrong ECU might be a GTX-SC 185 they topout at 7600... The resister was a recall and the ski would still rock if the fuel was good

It has the right ecu. I verified that today. what is the proper percentage of throttle opening. It has a finger throttle conversion on it and was topping out at 80%

I just checked bossweb. It does not need the knock sensor update.
