    Stage 1 no gains help

OK so I put in a 4" front air kit a 2* pump wedge and a Riva intake grate. I also filled the holes in the ride plate smothed the edges and modified the intake grate to sit flush. I was running 64.5 and now I am running 64.8 it seems to have a better hole shot and mid range, but I went from 8120 to 8180. Is this because I need a new prop so get the RPMs down??? I dont seem to hit rev limiter, but it seems to hit 64 at about 7950 - 8000 RPms

Well....you gained 60rpm...in the heat....not bad. limiter on the '06 is 8200...no? Tweek the prop...add a mm to the trailing edge. Got a GPS?

I lost a 150rpm from first thing this a.m. to this afternoon.

+1...What prop you have??You will see minimal if not loose performance with the stock prop..You will need to go with a 14/19 if you havent already...

I thought he would gave gained more rpm than that. Thought he would have been all over the limiter without changing the prop.

    I believe the proper stage 1 prop for a 06 RXT is a 14/17R.

    word.
if you never changed the prop, its not a stg 1,and its probably hindering your performance.

Agreed, but do you think that he should pick up some rpm's with the changes and with those rpm's some speed as well.

If he put on a "taller" prop then his rpm's would be lower, would't that mean less top end speed? Especially since he only gained 60 rmp's with the changes and the same prop.

My wifes ski has a RIVA Stage 1 kit on it. I removed her 14/17R and put a stock prop in and she lost 300 RPM. I Put her 14/17R back on and she was at 8180 and the mid range snap was back. 06 GTX Limited.
