    2005 rxp supercharger upgraded washers

I just bought a 2005 rxp with riva atage 1 kit installed with 51 HRS. on it. the guy said the SC has the updated washers installed. Is there any way to verify that without taking the SC apart?

You don't have to take the supercharger apart, but you will need to remove it.

Considering all of the posts that I've read in the past several months - where the new owner believes the previous owner has actually replaced the ceramic washers, but then had ceramic washer failure - I think you should remove your charger from the ski, take some pictures of the clutch assembly and post 'em here. We'll tell you if the ceramic clutch washers have been replaced.

Hard to tell from the angle in the pic, but they look like ceramic.

Very smart move. Too many people are still damaging their motors with the ceramic washers.

if your doing the clutch side by yourself you can do the sc wheel yourself too.... i rebuilt mine by myself.... no special tools needed to do it... just makes it easier... i made my own sc shaft holder out of a peice of steel. 22 ft lbs on both sides. for the new SC wheel i had to grind down a cheap 17mm socket... out side of that it was simple.... 22ft lbs check the slip add shims if needed.... grind down collar if slip is to high.... or miss match with OEM spring washers to get the desired slip....
