non-pv 1200 carb base plate thickness does it make any difference?

ok question about a non-pv 1200 triple 44's carb base plate, does the plate thickness make any noticeable effect on performance?

well I am ordering my engine gasket kit and have to wait , and since I am known for my Patience I figured I move to the next problem , yes I have looked for a used plate but have not found one so I figured I would make my own using the old gasket for a template . the aluminum material I have to work with is either 3/8th" thick, 3/4" thick or 1" thick is there any noticeable difference with the thicker plate/spacer over a thinner one?

I'm guessing you're in the US, as you've spelled it ALUMINUM. If you were here in UK, I could have let you have one without the wait for overseas postage, but it would be made out of ALUMINIUM!

Hey, no offense meant, sorry if you took it the wrong way! I know you call it aluminum in the US, I assumed you spelled it the same way. I honestly have a spare plate, and I know it's a pain to wait for the post from the US to UK so, had you been in UK I would have got it to you quickly. You haven't put a location in your avatar. Sorry again if I caused any offence. My humour's like our English football.......'nough said!

no man I wasn't offended so it isn't a a big deal don't worry about it. sometimes the way I type things out it sounds sarcastic I guess I didn't mean it that way at all sorry if it sounded otherwise.

I am probably the worst person in the world as far as waiting on stuff ...lol but do appreciate the offer.

your right about my avatar needs the location by all I can see on my profile is the zip code and haven't figured out how to get the location up there ...... I do better building stuff in the garage then doing some of the stuff on this computer

Know what you mean about computers! I'd rather have a spanner in my hand than a mouse! All the best, and regards, Dave.
