Will the FZS stuff the pump in stock form????

At what speed does the FZS need a grate and which one is the best? This will evently be a 80+ boat but I am going to start slow....thanks...

I put an R & D on a couple weeks after buying my ski. Mine never (in stock form or modded) has even hinted at a buck.

    But some have.

I'd order a grate and have it to put on when you buy your ski. I didn't notice any speed loss and the hookup is better in some chop.

    Just my .02.

It can STOCK at STOCK speeds. Ditch the stock grate and get the R&D. Or if you want wait for the Riva stainless. Id go for the R&D, their grates always hook better.

yes it can in stock form,,
some will stuff sooner than others, mine stuffed at 65mph then again prior to it stuffing i went for two runs both 68 mph and it didnt stuff.. go figure..
go with the r&d grate, the riva has been known to crack, or you can wait for the riva stainless steel grate wich should be available very soon, according to riva

Is the buck similar to the GPR, more severe, or what? Does the boat try to turn?

Is there just one style of intake grate that R+D makes, the aquavein???

IMO no where near as severe as a GPR hitting the 85mph barrier. Can ride it out everytime no problem.

cant comment on the gpr cause i never had the buck on one. but from what ive heard when the gpr bucks its kinda like running over a log or something
now the fz with a stock grate will kick up from the rear and get sideways on you, there is no holding on... everyone that saw me get thrown off said the boat took a hard right turn and i kept going straight flying, the boat went completely on its side and almost rolled over.
