    flame arrestors question

Does it help to remove the stock flame arrestors and put in individual air filters on earch carb?

What do you have as the stock? some of the later Polaris crafts had a pretty good setup! Z

If it's for your Genesis ? I think you'd only get cool factor by swapping? Z

You can cut the skirt (sides) off of the cover to expose the filter element and it turns into an aftermarket type flame arrestor for free.

Hot Seat or Chopper City Sports used to make a replacement lid out of aluminum that achieved the same thing as trimming your stocker. Is yours carbed? I would only do it to a carbed model.

Cut clean and sanded edges would look fine. I guess drilling holes in it might help some too but I still say cut it and get the full effect.

Thanks for the input.... I am going to cut it and sand it down clean... I have just put in Pro Series Carbon Reeds and want it to get all the air it needs. I will take it out this weekend and let you know.

One quick question, the element, should that be replaced or cleaned in some way from time to time?
