    Welcome Me and Hull Help

Good Morrow My Good Lords, How doth this day treat thee?

I've been searching on this forum for a few years now and my wife finally let me get a ski. picked up an 06 RXT black/gold with 37hrs for 4700. i'm pretty stoked about getting out on it but it does have a few hull gouges. i've been researching FGlass and gelcoat repair but it's either an all the way through hole or just a gelcoat scratch. where is mine is a gouge removing the gelcoat and going about 1/16th inch into the glass right under the keel. So do i use gelcoat.ca colormatched paste, marinetex and paint, or what? any help would be appreciated. hopefully the pic will attach.

I've used marinetex on an RXP, it worked, not sure if that is the preferred method though. Better fix that b4 you take it out, don't want to delaminate...

I'll have to look and see if thats still holding up.
As for the op. For that kind of damage I would clean and rough up the damaged area and go to your local auto body supply store and pick up some 3m epoxy panel bonder. Use it to fill the damaged area and sand it smooth. Paint if you wanr but not needed unless you want it to look pretty.

so after visiting a few marine stores and getting nowhere i decided to buy some color-matched gelcoat from gelcoat.ca shipping was slow but nice product. it mixes up nice well and applies pretty easily, dries rockhard in two hours upside down. this stuff is a pain to sand down. definitly recommend a DA sander as well as an electric buffer to shine it up once done. took it out and no delaminating, will continue to check it often. thanks for the help.
