    05 f12x wont go passed 5500 rpm, running rough, dont see any codes..

    well jsut bought this thing, turbo def doesnt seem like the issue, turbine has minimal play, ran the inlet with out the air intake tube, it spools quick and hard, and blows off . i see no rust any where, everything looks mint in the hull

    . so the symptoms the motor seems to back fire upon decel, throttle response is terrible, doesnt wanna get out the hole quickly, rpms fluctuate... etc. called the dude i bought it from, he assured me he put a full tank of premium gas in NY. pulled plugs they are the correct ones and look all the same. also no codes. something is def wrong because my stx 12f is faster......


    any ideas?

    gonna drain gas and get new stuff from mobil, as well as try some plugs....

    knock sensor whent bad,spark plugs or check the waiste gait i think its the sensor and what fuel do you run they required 93 or better

    where is the knock sensor located? what do i look for on the waste gate?

    the knock sensor is under the intake manifold its bit of trouble to get to but with the right tools you shouldnt have no problem check if the waistegate is not cloged and also check you might have a boost leak somewhere that could be why its not letting you hit the power band

    i wrote that wrong i meant check if the waistegaite is cloged or leaking boost

    the turbo works fine, spools fine, the engine is bogging, idle jumps up and down sometimes as much as a 1000 rpms, give it a little gas it sputters, we took the rear seat off as well as tool/intake box and listened while going and turbo seems to function properly

    so plugs helped the sputter and bogging and what not, but sitll wont rev passed 5500

    are you sure that it is putting boost in the engine? clamp of the waste gate side with some vicegrips and see if it throw fi light
