    Thumbs down hard to steer

Anyone know of a way to make a 2001 challenger 1800 jet boat steer easier? It takes all I got to turn the wheel !! Would be nice if my wife could drive the boat if necessary.

With jet drive boats that iv'e owned over the years hard steering is caused by a corroded steering cable. water inevitably makes it's way into the cable where it connects to the steering nozzle and starts to rust internally. Disconnect your cable at both ends and see how hard it is to push/pull.

    hard to steer

Yea, I guess its very likely, because over the past 9 yrs. I've had the boat in the ocean many times. I replaced the throttle cable a couple of yrs. ago after it seized. Thanks for bring that to my attention.
