    fuel pick up tubes

what do you guys think. i took out the fuel pick up tubes and they are junk, and no screens on them also. was wundering if i can put a fuel filter on the new lines? i want to go out riding this weekend and no time to order screens. with the lines all cumbling i dont want to risk pulling up some of the old hose. i was hoping that it wouldn't be to much restration on the fuel pump? i have a 95 polaris slt with a 780 motor in it with a triple outlet pump. any thoughts?

You should find the old ones @ the bottom of the tank...re-use them if you want to go riding...

Clean out the fuel tank while you are in there. In addition to finding the fuel pickup screens, there is probably dirt and gunk that need to be cleaned out.

It is a hassle cleaning the tank out, but it is way better than chasing fuel system problems and carburetor clogs, and possibly rebuilding a lean burn damaged engine.

Yeah I found 2 sets of in tank filters & about 6 ft. of rotted peices of pick up lines. There was also about 1 cup of unidentifiable debris.

i found 4 screens inside my sl tank. someone put new ones on and they fell off the old lines again! they didnt change the lines.. make sure they dont curl on ya.. i try to find the straight hose of a big reel at a store if you can. not the end piece. its curled on the roll to hard to remove the curl out of it.. the weights help it go straight to the bottom while riding and turning..
