    What is Ideal pump set-up?

    I've got a 94 SL 750 with approx. 86HP. Limited, not all out modified engine. What would be the BESTpropullsion system ever for this ski? Let's start with the engine coupler, early small or dampner large? My mechanic likes the early small one for faster revving and doesn't strip out the rubber dampner. Obviously long pump with SS stator, but how many veins? What brand impeller and pitch? I ride the lake so, not too much flat water. No wedge, or what degree pump wedge? Adjust a Thrust or no? Variable trim exit nozzle or fixed? I've got support plates for the pump already. What are the best intake grate and ride plate combos? I like wave jumping and back end slides. Do I even bother with sponsons? SO MANY VARIABLES! What do you guys think?

    6 veins is all you need with that Hp. Keep greasing the coupler till it's no good. Most people will say 4 degree wedge, I like the 6 but ride in smooth water most the time. The majority will say Ocean Pro extended plate with R&D intake grate, other combs work better in different conditions, but they should suit your's. You gotta keep the trim, maybe add a pro trim motor they are twice as fast. No more slides if you add sponsons.

    Come on guys, more input please. I have never tried the Adjust a Thrust but hear good things. I like the Skat-Trak swirls impellers. Anybody else?
