95 SL750 Trim Motor Not Working
I just bought a 95 SL750. But the trim is not working. The motor gets the proper voltage depending on the trim button. Basically there is +/- battery voltage going to the motor box. And it is stuck in the down position.
I know this has been answered before, but I just want to make sure I am not overlooking anything. I think I know how to take the motor out. But I want to know how to seal it back up when I am done. For now I just want to take it apart Try and get it tilted slightly up and put it back together.
So it looks like it uses some blue RTV??? Can I reuse gaskets and O rings??
Just want to get it running for the weekend. Thanks!!!! Ed

Take it out. If it is like my sl780, its 3 bolts that hold it to the hull. Take motor apart from the mechanism, and spin it by hand, or with pliers. You will probably find that spinning it and applying voltage will break it free, and get it working again. I didnt seal mine, but you can if you want

its three bolts.. you can reuse the o ring if its not torn or cracked.. i did.. and i dont have any leaking.. u can use any trim motor from the sl-slx hulls and you can use the pro ones too buy they are faster trims and wont read right on your mfd.
