    struggling taking out intake grate

im trying to swap out my stock intake grate i removed the 3 10mm bolts that go into the ride plate and the 13mm bolt that goes into the hull. the intake grate is loose at ride plate but is still adhereed to the hull. is it caulked to the hull? i just dont want to yank the shit out of it and there be a plastic tab or something.

    thanks in advance

when I switched out my grate I cleaned off the left over stuff from the factory and put a little bead of
"right stuff" around the bolt hole .then put the new grate on...

make sure you put enough on there, riva grates are well know for pulling the inserts out, so enough silicone to help keep it in place.
