    Three bolt holes in flywheel

On a sl 900, do bolts go in the 3 threaded holes in the front of the flywheel, or are they just there for a puller? I put it together with just the big nut, and am doubting myself.

Just the nut. Those are for using a puller to remove the flywheel. I think yours is 7mm or 8mm. I don't remember which. . The Pro785 uses 6mm bolts.

When installing a puller, you need to watch how deep you go into the puller. the stator is behind the flywheel and you could puncture it if you put the bolts to far thru. just get them to go thru and thats it. going deeper wont pull it any better anyways.
