Carbon Ring and Boot find!!!
OK, I have posted a few times the last 3 months. Bought a used 45 hour 2004 RXP and had a small cavitation problem. I started searching this site and then started working on the ski. I did the following.
New wear ring.
New large Oring between ski and jet pump.
Grinded the shark fins down inside the shoe. (they where broken off somewhat)
Put new silicone on ski around the intake shoe.
Put zip ties around the rubber boot/carbon ring.
Cavitation would be OK at times and then bad. Last time out the ski would not even pull up on plan with 2 people on it, so I ordered a new rubber boot and carbon ring. Here is what I found.
The old rubber boot is at least 1/8 shorter!!! Quess age or heat as done the damage. I dont think zip ties will make up the difference. Got new stuff on now, so stay tuned.

hose/t-bolt clamp works good for adding some tension to the boot too. but would only do it if you had to ride while your new boot was on the way!!

Ran the ski yesterday. The carbon ring and boot fixed the cavitation. Thanks for the help.
