fx 140 valve adjustment help
what are the best feeler gauges to use, i cannot check the middle intake valves because of the feeler gauge width..i have cut my gauges with a tin stip...but would like to have the right tool in the tool box. also does anyone sell valve shims kit to adjust the valves or doe they have to be purchased individually...

If its like the 5 valve mcy engines you need a small width thickness gauge. Yami sells them. Why did you need to adjust the valves? I have been told they should never need adjusting. The wear on the valve train is sooo small they dont adjust them on the mcy engines for like 35,000 miles or so. Are you rebuilding a head or just adjusting them for the fun of it?
