    trying to do the timing chain how do u get off the timing gear

    it looks like it is part of the seal i pulled the flywheel and cant get the other gear off i dont know what to do i tryed searching put no one has talked about that part of the job

    You gotta split the cases to get the chain off.

    yes im way past that ive got everthing apart im staring at the crankshaft ith the flywheel off and i cant see how u would put a new chain on there without pulling the timing gear

    ... Are you calling the cases the "PTO cover" Once the motor cases are split... you can pull the balance shaft out, lift up the crank and remove the chain.

    You need to lift the crank to get the chain off.
