2000 Virage TX steering column loose
I've noticed recently that the steering column on my 1200TX is very loose & wobbles up/down about 3-4mm. It also squeaks when moved.
Has anyone any insight into what the cause of this might be? I'm thinking it might be the steering bearings that are worn, but I've not yet been able to investigate fully.
If it is the bearings, how difficult is it to change them?
Any help would be gratefully recieved.
Many thanks in advance.

There aren't bearings in it, there are two plastic 2-piece c-clamps that the column rotates in. They become worn and need to be replaced after time. Not real difficult to change out but it's the cost of the parts that are going to floor you if that's if you can even order them anymore.
