04 GPR Running rough
I have a 04 PV GPR. Rebuilt the motor over the winter. (OEM Crank, Wiseco Pistons)
Ski has minimal bolt on mods. R&D Filter on the front of the airbox, Riva FreeFlow Exhaust, PV Clips.
Compression is 125 across
Injectors were cleaned by Injector rehab over the winter
I have about 15hours on the motor this year since the build and its run perfect without a hiccup, until now.
Last weekend i had the ski out and it ran great, brought it home and flushed it and all was well, no issues.
This week i go to the ramp and put it in the water. Start it up and ir runs good for a few seconds and then like crap. Idle drops to around 800rpm's and it dies a couple times.
Tempature light comes on also. (the temp sensor was one that i previously cut to install a resistor but spliced back together to keep)
I brought it home and it read code 65 for the stinger temp sensor. ---replaced the sensor with a 10k resistor.-----no change
i thought it could be the fuel so i siphoned out all the fuel and replaced it with new premium from a different gas station---no luck
A friend was even kind enough to take the fuel to a lab he works at and run it---fuel was good
I've run the ski on the hose for some time. Idle seamed to get a little better but not back to normal. It was smoking alot but that has calmed down and now its not smoking to much.
The idle is surging sometimes up to about 2500 though and if i blip the throttle sometimes it will stay around 2500 and not come right down
I'm at a loss here guys, there have been no new changes to the ski. Any ideas???

Have you had the throttle cable recall done?
I only ask, as I picked up a 04 recently that would not start and it turned out to be the throttle cable-anyway to my point-pushed the throttle bodies closed, and got it running but it was really rough and smokey-the throttle cable section going to the oil pump had perished, and the pump defaults to max setting-worth a look on yours.
