Thread: Engine mounts

How can you tell when you need to replace the engine mounts? One of mine seems a bit soft when I torque it down. Do they crack when they go bad? Or what other way can you tell when they are on their way out?

When I was torquing the bolt down, it kind of twisted a little bit...not much, but went right back. I don't know how much give they're supposed to have before they're considered on their way out.

Okay....I'll just pull up on the engine and see if it has any play.
