    alarm under handlebar cover slt700 1996

    I have been trying to find out what the alarm is under the handlebar cover on my slt700 ?, sorry to ask I have looked everywhere for answers, I tried to trace the cable it goes from the alarm to the electrical box, can anyone help me the alarm comes on after riding for a while or if I give her some real power, can anyone help please

    If I recall correctly, that buzzer is the warning for overheat or low oil. Tan wire, I think.

    Overheat warning can be serious. With the seat off, is the engine or exhaust manifold actually too hot to touch?
