    12V HI indicator

Does anyone have experience with this warning message? I have a 2009 215hp Speedster 150, and it seems to come up with this every now and then very intermittently. Sometimes the Battery icon will flash and the message doesn't come up in the message centre. I mentioned this to the dealer when I had it in for the 10 hour service last weekend, but, the message is still coming in. The dealer states that there were no messages in the computer about it, and told me not to worry about it. Should I really not worry about this or could I have a bad voltage regulator of some sort?

Get something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Vector-VEC008-.../dp/B0002ISEQW and Plug it In so you can Monitor the Voltage while Driving to See if you are getting any Spikes.

    After a busy month...

    14.2V while idling
15.8V peaking to 16 while the indicator is flashing
12.9V off the battery while engine is off

    Ideas?

Idle and Engine Off are fine. 15.8-16v is Scary. It shouldn't go much Higher than 14.2v that you are getting at Idle.

    Maybe a Bad Voltage Regulator?
