Thumbs down Word of Caution for 1.8 Aftermarket Rods

I bought some Carillo rods from a guy on eBay that were 'YAM FX1800 PWC SHO H-BEAM RODS'. This is not a told you so or that's what you get thread, but a watch out post.

They did not work, there is no oil clearance on the rod journals and they are $400 paper weights now unless you have them machined further which should not have been needed..
At this point I don't trust the rods at all so I will be out another grand for another set from Riva or R&D.

Yeah it does. Ultimately, I will forget about the $$ spent, but I lost even more weeks waiting to find out what the deal was for sure.

I did finish Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 100% twice though

Dude is saying they are correct and no returns so I filed a dispute with my bank on the card.

The call I made to them resulted in a 'those are not our rods'.
Whether that is accurate or not it does not sound good.

I figure this is likely one of the following

    fake rods with poor specs
bad batch of correct rods being dumped
just plain wrong rods. Close but not right

    this is not good,sorry....

file another claim with CC stating good bought through e bay are fake, contact e bay also as this is against sellers conditions...
all of this is of little help i know but every little help..

if he then proves there not fake and indeed genuine you have a come back with makers..

i feel your pain and understand if you just give them to the trash man and start again with Riva or R&D,but i would have to cause maximum fuss for my wasted $400

    Thumbs up Greenhulk.net

    Hi there,

I'm really sorry to hear this. Next time do yourself a favor and get them from the on line store, Jerry would have had no problem giving you a second set should there be any problems. Take care and good luck, Julio...
