    07 Vs. 08 waterbox & exhaust

So I picked up my NEW 08 RXT on Friday since I had
an engine seizure with my 07.
Weather sucked all weekend, so only got 4 hours on it.

The 08 exhaust is really different from my 07 and 03 SC boats.

From what I see, there is No J-Pipe and waterbox is a little different.

Can anyone enlighten me on the deal here

    Awesome, that is great news.
You have a mid pipe instead of a j pipe. It reaches down in your water box and enters your water box differently then 07. The main housing is water jacketed. It sprays water right at where the mid pipe starts.

So is this a better flow type deal, or did BRP just need to make room for other changes
    in new hull or what?

Also, Steve, is the exhaust manifold itself still the same????

Can the SC now be removed without removing the "mid-pipe" and waterbox ???????

ITs close but no cigar. But It is easier to access sc on the 08 setup. Instead of having to remove mid pipe, you can just loosen clamp on mid pipe to water box, and push the water box to the rear.
