    12/17 Swirl impeller

I've discovered my '94SLT750 has the wrong impeller. I think the one I have is too high pitched because I'm down about 500 RPM.

Currently I have a Polaris OEM part# 5131079 in the ski. which is acutally the stock impeller for the SL750. It is in absolute PRISTINE condition. The Polaris manual calls for part#5131035 for my ski. Also Skat Trak lists a 12/17 Swirl for the '94SLT750. I would like to trade the impeller I have, but if you want an outright sale please shoot me a price for the impeller you have.

The 079 was also used on the '94 Sl750,'96/'97 SL780's,The 035 was also used on the '96SL700 and SLT700's. Are you using the dream o meter for your RPM check? That prop I would think wouldn't cost you 500 rpms on top end, the 035/079 are both 4 blade progressive props. My guess is a low end diff. JMO

12/17 are pretty sought after. They are recommended for the 785's.

If you have a 13/18 available, it can be repitched to a 12/17 for around $70-80 from Skat or Impros.

Yep, the dream-o-meter is my guide. I wouldn't think it would be that far off though.

Bottom end isn't awful. It's maybe just slightly under what my SLT780 pulls out of the hole. But, my understanding is the 750's make more low end torque so the fact that is would nearly keep up with the 780 with an oversized prop isn't real surprising.

I'm finding a little bit of conflicting info. If you look at the Skat Trak Polaris Application Guide they show a 12/17 for the SLT750 but a 13/18 for the SL750. Hmm, a slight difference there. Just for grins I contacted SBT for their impeller exhange. I figured I'd take a shot and ask them if I sent them a good core -079 if they would send me a -035 in return. They said their resources didn't show a particular difference and that maybe one number superseded the other. I don't by the superseded # since the two props were available concurrently.

Well, that makes it a little tougher to find a cheap easy one if they are in demand.

I don't have extra props laying around. I need to pull the pump on the '94 SL project ski in the garage to see what impeller is setting in that one. If it's still stock, I'll be it's also a -079. Impros shows a cost of $35 to repitch an impeller. Hmmm, maybe I could just send this one to them and have it worked to the right pitch.

They can't repitch the 4 blades I think.

FYI: someone just posted a LN stock impeller for a SLT 750 yesterday. Starting at $10 plus ship.

I suggest you put it on your watch list or contact him and see if he'll do a buy it now.

Casey67 hooked me up with a 5131035 prop. I got it installed tonight and will give it a test run tomorrow!

I guess there is no chance on a swap or even buying that 079. Woe is me.
