    1999 zxi 1100 bogging.

I just bought this thing and went out to a small lake to test it out.
    Here's some background info...
It has 100 psi across the board +/- 5%.
R&D airbox, no choke plates, and a primer kit installed.
It seems to have a flat spot after about half throttle. If i keep it just under the bog it will jump from about 8k rpm to 3k rpm and back.
I took the carbs off and took them apart to find nothing clogged. I have new br8es plugs in it because I had some laying around.
I'm used to working on motorcycles and have a very small bike shop but this ski thing is all new to me. I guess I should buy a book for this thing.
Someone point me in the right direction.

Also, what are the stock jet sizes? Maybe he changed the jets when he changed the airbox, do people usually change the jets when they change the airbox?

Jetting is not really needed when changing out the F/A. Your low jets will control idle to about 1/4 throttle then from there it is the high will take over from with help from the low till about half throttle. It sounds like your highs speed screws are running lean or your pop-off is set to high. Of course you have the CV carbs I believe. If not then it should just be a simple tuning issue.

What does it do when you go from idle to WOT?

It starts going and then falls flat on its face.
I didn't get the diaphram caps off the carbs because the screws were rusted so I sprayed them with a lube and let them sit overnight.
What should the stock jetting/pop off be?
Also, how would I know if it was the reeds?

Yes I have a CV carb, would it be easier if I went to a non-cv carb?

The CV carbs are a little different so I can not be certain. If you have a manual it will have the jetting and tunning specs. Your pop-off for the 1100 you want it around 12-15 psi. If you can get your hands on some 38mm Non CV carbs I would do it.
