Boats .com test the new Ultra? Hmm from reading the article one of two things come to mind. #1 he made it all up. #2 he is a knot head.

You get the latest and most powerfull pwc on the market and you don't have a GPS or Radar? The say its "probably" only goes 65 MPH because the speedo says 70 and that always a lie and that the aggreement with the coast guard that all pwc mfg's honour. (Hmm guess he never rode or heard of the RXP either).

Very poor article actually, bad data is worse than no data.

I wonder what the specs are in length and width compared to an RXP?

Nice article, but the Ultra 250 is slightly faster than a RXP all around.

The RXP came out 65-69mph from different groups who tested it. So look for the Ultra 250 to come in at 66-70mph from different sources.

Wait till the mods come out for this, it will easily do 75mph.

The key phrase in the entire article is (underpropped)... Prop this beauty like the yamaha guys do to the gp to get the top speeds but lazy on the accelleration and you should easy see 75 to 78 on prop change alone..Sounds like a dream for the long beach to catalina run...

I doubt you'll see 5-8mph froma prop change alone. I'd bet on 2-3, to get it to 75 I'll bet youi're going to need to find more lift to get that hull up out of the water and or find more hp.

This is where a 2-3 degree pump wedge combined with an extended nozzle might come into play. Depending on how much Kawi wanted to limit the top end with the stock prop, will be the deciding factor in how much extra speed can be gained by an aftermarket one.
