    "Premix" and " weight reduction"

this post is about "Premix" and " weight reduction" I guy

i know i need the block off kit, but there is another huge line left , coming from the bottom of the tank, to the bottom of the engine. This line is about 3/8 in diameter...."not talking about the line that connects to the oil pump", we know that gets plugged. i want to remove the whole oil-tank-assembly.. since it won't be needed ....and this provides me with a huge 20 lbs..weight savings benefit
    !

please tell me, what should i do with this 3/8 oil line ...at the bottom of engine?

The type of boat/engine would help but it sounds like you have one with a Rotary Valve.

In that case, there is also a larger oil line coming from the other side of the engine and going into the fitting on the top of the oil tank.

Those two hoses would need to be looped together. These supply the oil bath for the Rotary Valve Shaft and it needs a bit of space to expand/contract with temp.

I drive a 1994 seadoo 580- Sp, modded a with "west coast" muffler and head, psi pipe 159 degree rotoary valve, 44mm mikuni carb, rev limiter, quick silver synthetic....SO.. as I understand. ..

YOU...have said ..there are three... 3/8 oil lines, one to the oil pump, one under the intake side and .....one on the exhaust side of the engine? and I know you siad the other end, connects to the top of the oil tank

    IS this what you mean?

...then... loop the lines together okay..

pic of looped lines. note-the capped T fitting for adding oil if needed.

Will that weight loss really affect the performance of the ski? Speed wise and ability to steer?
