Need Prop for mildly modified GP1300R

Like the title reads, I'm wanting a new prop.

My mods are: Fully ported motor, D-plate w/chip, Riva Free Flow Exh.

Last weekend when I really wanted to take off from a start, the pump would spit out water faster than it could take it in causing the pump to cavitate. The first time it happend it scared me. I thought the prop had come loose! I ONLY noticed this when first taking off from a start with a passenger. An aftermarket intake great would be nice, but I also ride where there is a substancial amount of kelp floating around in the water. So I do like having the bars of the factory grate to block out most of that. Is it possible that maybe the wear ring in the pump is worn? I haven't looked yet.

Or am I way off base with thinking a prop can fix this?

Or do you think longer trim tabs and a ride plate might help to plane up faster, thus keeping flow to the intake?

Do not ride that ski with the stock intake grate!!!!!!!!! Get a Riva/R&D double bar grate, get yourself a good tach, get some rpm #'s then look for the right prop.

No I haven't. What should the max clearance be?

Is the riva r&d a good ocean plate? And how about trim tabs? Also why a good tach? I don't look at the dash as it is now?

Riva or R&D intake grate 1200, your stock tabs will be good, as long as they are the metal ones, then you can shim them if needed. PET2100DX is a great tach.

    I have plastic trim tabs.

I did find this afternoon when I got home from work that the foam that fills the space between the wedge and the ride plate is gone

And maybe it's not the prop I'm looking for? I want to be able to plane faster from a start when I am riding a passenger. Top speed is fun and nice, but the difference between 60 mph & 70mph doesn't really matter to me. I'm not racing anyone. When I see a RXP come up, I'm not going to embarrass myself..... Not intentionally anyway.

Maybe I can fab my own trim tabs out of aluminum? Although the only alum plate I have is 1/4" thick.
