Towing an ultra 250 behind a boat

    .

should I be clamping a water intake hose if I am going to tow my ultra 250 behind my boat ?

I will be towing it at 35 to 40 mph and was thinking water may flood the engine

    thanks in advance

I have towed mine twice behind a boat without clamping with no issues. It's a gamble. Some people may think I'm an idiot, but i didn't really have any other option. If you have any concern, just clamp to be safe.

Yes, you need to clamp 2 hoses because of the tow speed. 5 to 8 mph, probably ok w/o clamps, but 35 to 40? Id say thats big risk from everything I have read over last few years. No reason to take that risk.

I'm looking for a great color photo to show clamp points on the 2 hoses that was posted while back by MitchO.

As far as what you use to clamp, there a few choices from strong spring clips to mini vise grips. Ive also seen cheap plastic pliers made specifically to clamp hose but not sure where to get them.
