Yeah, but how much HP for the Cobra? I'm curoius to see how much he had in comparison. 1200 HP is great, but if you can't get the power to the ground with little wheelspin........it's useless.

I think turbo cars are awesome. There's a 1200+ HP '62 Biscayne (Chicayne) built by Troy Trepanier that is one of my favorites.

Hp doesn't always win a race, it helps but doesn't always guarantee a win.... but i am guestimation somewhere in the mid to high 800's if not more..... et would have been quick with a 2 speed powerglide

both cars are turbo. Team hennessy builds a twin turbo kit for the viper at 1200 claimed hp supposed to go in the 9,s on stock tires and suspension. the cobra kept up or won so damnnnnnnn

Glides are useless unless bracket racing,,heads up you`d do better with a 350 or 400 depending on hp output. Best thing I did to my `69 Chevelle was yank the glide and ram a 400 to channel the power through the rear. And it was an aluminum case glide. Gave it away.
Use to tighten bands all the time. Old technology thats best left to resto rods.
