3rd time a charm?
I installed my new heavy duty rectifier that I bought from seadoosource and went out on a test run. If you read my previous post you know that I have had trouble with my ski stalling and hard restarts (if it restarts).
Well my ski stalled in the first 2 min of my ride, but restarted easily. It stalled again shortly thereafter and again restarted easily. After that I was able to ride for 40 min without a problem. Ski seems to idle around 1490 - 1510 in the water. That's within range? I have not run a full tank of gas through this fresh rebuild and have roughly 2 hrs on it. I've been varying the throttle and not running WOT. How much time on the break-in period?
Someone on pwc2day said to pull the mag cover and look for metal pieces. Why would I have these?

Went out today and only could ride for 20 min before my ski shut down. I couldn't get it restarted so I walked it back to my trailer. Lucky I'm only in 4 ft of water. Not sure where to go from here?

Your stator is shorted if it keeps burning up rectifiers. Reference this thread for info-
Metal shavings from the bendix on the starter can get lodged between the stator and mag cup and short the stator. That was what someone was referring to on the other site. You need to replace both at the same time or one will burn up the other.
