Jim's plate skeggs
Does anyone have any real hard facts about adding skeggs to your ride plate as far as top speed gains go? I have an opportunity to by a ride plate that had skeggs welded on by Jim and was wondering if there are any real speed gains.

The skegs sold seperately in Jerry's store add lift as well as improving the handling of the ski in chop.
My nose cone ended up walking up the shaft the day I installed my skegs. I had improvement....but can't tell you how much I woulda seen had the cone stayed put.
Advertised a 1mph improvement....I think. I wouldn't argue against that. Might even be closer to 2 for some.
With them welded and aligned true to the plate and a better plate as well.....2-3mph?
