DF11s depth sensor on a 2009 yamaha fx sho

Has anyone sucessfully mounted one of these depth sensors on their FX Sho? more inportantly in-hull, not sure if the nano-x-cell hull is blocking the sonar or not. i may return the unit if thats the case i dont want to mount externally.

    thanks
    Michael

since the yamaha hull is a double hull ( hull with a liner inside also with a air gap between the two liners) the transducer has to be mounted out side on the back of the transom flush on the bottom, It works pretty good up to about 40 mph then it goes out at higher speeds
