    whooping cough

    hi guys. genesis carb, with the plugs out, hand turning crank backward and forewards seem to get wheezing cough noise on inlet side of centre and pto. on new pto piston about 1 inch diameter on crown burnt carbon spot the rest is shinney alum previous piston melted to ex port. advice please guys.

    If the intake noise is different on one cylinder, inspect the intake reeds on that cylinder.

    Since you have to remove the intake manifold anyways, inspect the reeds for all three cylinders while you are down there.

    Are you concerned about the piston wash pattern on the newly replaced PTO piston?

    What year is your Genesis?

    Have you rebuilt the carburetors recently?

    Replaced the original gray Tempo fuel lines?

    hi k447 1999 year, carb rebuild, old piston had black carbon spot underneath, which had melted on top and run into ex port, engine rebuilt, recon crank, seals gaskets. pressure tested. just took comp mag 135, cen 135, pto132, run today after rebuild 1 1/2 hours on oil pump with premix 50 to 1 to run in. checked index ok. looking towards ign out on pto what do i need to check, cheers

    What exactly is the problem?

    Low on power or RPM?
