    2001 rx oil leak

    Has anyone successfuly fixed a leaky oil tank seem ? I was thinking epoxy or some kind of sealer.

    Someone may correct me if I'm wrong. I think the key is to get a new tank , make sure the check valve is working and to not fill it with to much oil. There are threads , if memory serves me, that talk of this issue. Haven't personally seen any that talk of repairing the seam. So can't say for sure on that.

    I replaced the one on my 2000 RX,but it only lasted a season.I premix for my 2000 and 98 gsx,so I may just mix for all of them.

    I have a tank that came off a GSX, it will fit all the GS models but I'm not sure if you have any use for it,
    you can have it for 10 bucks
