Auxiliary Fuel Pump
I talked to one of our new members this week who has installed an aux fuel pump with a regulator in the stock fuel line on his 185hp GTX. He was saying that when you go WOT the fuel pressure dumps and the aux pump keeps the pressure up. He claims improved performance and says it was the best mod he had done. He dials in the regulator to about 60lbs. He is running stock 42lb injectors. He said if the pressure goes too high it hurts preformance but at about 60 lbs performance is greatly improved.
I searched the forum for aux fuel pumps and found nothing.
Anyone have an opinion if this will work?

I've never heard of it but it sounds interesting. I don't know what it would do unless you were adding more boost though.

Any thoughts on Aux fuel pump add-on mod
I wanted to bump this back up for some opinions. I originally posted during the World's and only got one response.

Increasing the fuel pressure on a GTX with mods is definately a must.
Stock fuel pressure is only 44 PSI. Rotax Racing makes this 58 PSI regulator that just snaps right in place.

Thanks Jerry! So, I install an aux fuel pump that will produce 60+ or so pounds then use the regulator you mentioned ?? or do I just use the regulator with the stock fuel pump ?? The stock fuel pump will put out the 53 lbs?

No, you just remove your stock fuel pressure regulator and replace it with that one. No need for an additional fuel pump.
The stock GTX fuel pump will flow enough volume for a stage 2 with RR ECU.
If you go heavily modded with B kit, ported head, etc. then you will need a bigger RXP fuel pump.
