I just got off the phone with his wife Carrie. He had to make a hard right turn to avoid an airboat coming head on. He broke his leg 4" above his ankle. It was a compound break and the only thing holding his foot to his ankle was tendons and skin. The doctors put a plate in this morning, he should go home Wednesday, but will have to have a muscle and skin graft from his thigh next week. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers, it sounds like this will be a long recovery.
