    polaris sl700 compression

    what should be the compression on a 1996 sl700 i cant find it in the repair manual i have one with 50 psi and one with 80 psi if to low what are commone problems

    How did you measure the compression?

    Should be measured with both spark plugs out, throttle help wide open.

    50 and 80 PSI are very low numbers. Typical compression numbers, using an accurate gauge, are around 120PSI or higher.

    Just as important, the PSI numbers on each cylinder should be within 5% of each other.

    thanks for the info i am a shop owner i measured compression with both plugs out but not with throttle open could not find specs in manual
