    1200PV tear down/head question

Finally got around to tearing it apart and no compression on the rear cylinder and decent on the other two. Took the head off and the top of the pistons are all smooth, but the head has some chipping in the rear cylinder, some on the center and none on the front. I also found out that the power valve servo wire was frayed in two. Could that have caused the failure? The cylinders are still perfectly smooth. So my question is do I need to get a new head or can I still use it like this? and what could be possible reasons for failure?

something got into the cylinder , Rings hung up, pv dropped. could clean it up with a dremmel only worry would be impregnation from whatever fragments , You have it opened up pull the jugs and look the pistons over and check all cylinders.

There should be ample heads floating around to replace.
