loud valves once ski gets to full operating temps stx12f?

is this normal? the oil is fairly new 35 hours since changed, not sure what weight was used as previous owner did the change. oil level is good, as well as still golden. is it to thin of a oil? or is this normal when the motor gets to temp? i was WOT for a few minutes when i noticed this. ski runs perfect no vibration, but when i turned my head i heard something i didnt remember so i lifted the seat gave it some throttle and it sounds like lifter tick or noisy valves.

sorry for it being all over the place, just trying to explain as best i can.

its 05 stx 12f, intake in bucket with k&n and pre filter, and water box delete. 85 hours give or take. it was 85 humid out on river that was 80 degrees as well.

so am i the only one with this problem? is it maybe just thin oil? or does it need a valve adjustment?

Might be anything- cam chain- injector tick-something else loose. Pull the valve cover and check the valve clearance and accessable items in that area. Oil may mask poor valve clearance when thick and cold but the things have to be pretty loose to tap.Try a stethoscope(sp) to localize the tick? Mine is quiet cept for very silent mechanical noise.

not gonna lie i have never checked valve clearance so not sure what to look for. i am going to change the oil, do a comp test and go from there i guess. can the valves be adjusted easily or is this a dealer thing?

i remember my buddies gsxr 1000 sounding like this after being on it but this thing was due for valve adjustment and had 10k miles. not 85 hours and couple hundred

Easy to check if you know how, but since you don't try the dealer.
