doesnt buds store tps info and stuff?

i have the engine out of my ski because the dealer grenaded it and will not admit it.
i didnt think about it before i took the engine out but can i take the hull and ecu and all to another dealer and hook it up to buds and see what it was doing last time... they say they didnt crank it but wouldn't buds tell you otherwise?? does it datecode? i know i read something in the service manual about something like this...

This is what the BUDS report shows when printed.

This is the demo file for a 2003-04 model in the BUDS software so ignore the serial numbers, etc.

It is also a unit that has not run in real life (fictional file) so there is all 0's in the recorded data on pages 4-8.

It does show what the report will show though, no dates for last run I am afraid.

I will show the last minute of run time. So if it was WOT and locked up/shut down you could see the RPM.

should only show the run time, not cranking it over.

With the engine out it would have alot of fault codes with all the engine sensors unpluged. If the ECM and module are in and you ground the wires that go on the front of the engine it should work to reed the last minute history. But I can't guarantee it.

Remember it says last minute, but when is the question you need answering. Unfortunately, there is no RTC(real-time-clock) in the system.
